What is communicated?? The majestic and almost untouchable nature of the sacred temple of Angkor Wat. Purpose? A dramatic approach and style, it communicates the history and otherworldlyness of this city of temples and its people. Technique? Very stylized in its dramatic contrast black and white. With a longer shutter speed to convey with the passing of time the temples have withstood the elements of the centuries. Folio relations? I really love black and white photographs all though we are not allowed to use them yet in our photographs, I think black and white conveys something entirely different to a coloured photo, it creates a style and a mood which really communicates with the audience.
david lachapelle again….. alan cumming. saw him live in front row and got harassed. the way he captures peoples character in a photo is incredible
